About Dr. PhD

Professor Santos is Latin America's leading expert in veterinary emergency and critical care medicine. She directs the Emergency and Critical Care Unit at the University of São Paulo Veterinary Hospital, the largest veterinary teaching hospital in South America. Her research on trauma management and sepsis treatment has established new standards of care across the continent. She founded the Brazilian Society of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care and organizes the annual Latin American Veterinary Emergency Congress. She provides telemedicine consultations to veterinary hospitals throughout Central and South America.
