Professor Hartley is an internationally recognized leader in veterinary oncology and comparative cancer research. She holds the endowed chair in Veterinary Oncology at Penn Vet and directs the Comprehensive Cancer Center for Animals. Her groundbreaking research on immunotherapy for canine osteosarcoma has led to treatments now used worldwide. She has published over 200 peer-reviewed papers, trained dozens of oncology specialists, and consults on complex cancer cases from around the globe. She serves on the scientific advisory boards of multiple cancer research foundations.
